Synopsis :
Zephyr loves Cloris, one of Diana’s faithful nymphs. He hides when the nymphs appear, and watches their games and dances. In order to surprise the unsuspecting Cloris, he calls her gently, has flowers grow under her footsteps and finally appears himself. The nymph is terrified by his declaration of love, fearing Diana’s wrath. The group of zephyrs called in for support confronts the group of nymphs peacefully, in graceful pantomimes where Cupid (L’Amour) appears to assist them in their seduction attempts. Cloris seems softened and charmed, and no longer fears the goddess. Diana appears in the company of the handsome Endymion, who has converted her to love. Diana proves clement and consents to the happiness of the two lovers, whose union is sealed amid tender celebrations.
